Frequently asked.
What does a wedding dog attendant actually do?
We handle every aspect of your dog's day so you don't have to: pickup, prep and styling, presenting them at the ceremony and photos, supervising during cocktail hour, managing water/treats/potty breaks, and safely returning them home at the end of the night. Think of us as a dedicated chaperone — with a veterinary medicine background — for your best friend.
Can you board our dog overnight?
We focus on your wedding day itself — pickup through a safe handoff home that night. We don't board dogs ourselves, but we're happy to coordinate the timing with a boarding facility or sitter you've arranged, so the hand-off is seamless. (You book and pay the boarding directly.)
Do you serve all of Minnesota?
Yes. We're based in the Twin Cities and travel statewide — Duluth, Rochester, St. Cloud, Alexandria, Red Wing, and everywhere between — plus into western Wisconsin. The first 50 miles of travel are included on every package; beyond that is $1.00 per mile.
My dog gets nervous around crowds. Can you still help?
Absolutely — this is exactly where our veterinary background matters. We're trained to read early signs of stress and overstimulation, can follow your vet's calming-medication plan, and structure the day with quiet breaks. We always meet your dog beforehand so the wedding day isn't their first time with us.
What if our venue doesn't allow dogs inside?
Very common — and manageable. Many venues permit dogs for the ceremony and outdoor photos only, or require a professional handler to be present. We help you read the policy and keep your dog comfortable nearby so they're there for the moments that matter, then whisk them safely away.
Can our dog be the ring bearer?
Yes! Our ring-bearer add-on includes a secure ring pouch and a quick rehearsal so the handoff goes smoothly (and the rings stay safe).
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend 3–9 months ahead, especially for peak season (May–October). We intentionally take a limited number of weddings each weekend so every dog gets our full attention.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes. We carry pet-care provider liability insurance and operate as a registered Minnesota LLC. We're happy to share documentation with your venue or planner.
What do you need from us beforehand?
Your dog's vaccination records, vet contact, any medications or dietary needs, a feeding/potty routine, and your wedding-day timeline. We turn this into a written care plan you'll approve before the day.
How do payments and deposits work?
A 50% non-refundable retainer reserves your date, and the balance is due 30 days before the wedding. We invoice through Square or Stripe (card or ACH); card processing is built into our pricing, never surcharged. We'll send a simple agreement and invoice after your consultation — custom quotes are always free.
